Job Details Job Location: McKinney Texas - McKinney, TX 75069 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $25.55 - $30.00 Hourly Job Shift: 2nd Shift POSITION SUMMARY: The Shift Supervisor is responsible for the overall operating performance of a specific shift across multiple manufacturing departments, including Plastics, CNC, Assembly, and Recycling. This position works collaboratively with Area Lead(s) to execute production schedules with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture. The Shift Supervisor ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, and machines across all assigned departments. This role manages a dynamic, multi-department work environment with frequent production changes and daily order fulfillment requirements. This position is critical to fostering our ownership culture and employee engagement, with a focus on our values of safety, ownership, and being customer driven. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure assigned areas meet or exceed metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and culture, including 5S audits. • Drive achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the assigned shift. • Review daily production schedules to plan work and personnel assignments. • Supervise and direct shift personnel in accordance with company policies, operating standards, and safety requirements, including training and accident prevention. • Coordinate workflow and promote teamwork to achieve shift objectives. • Identify root causes of KPI misses and implement corrective actions. • Communicate KPI misses promptly to the Production Manager and/or Plant Manager, including impact assessments and recovery plans. • Complete and submit required employee documentation to Production Management and Human Resources. • Conducts new hire training, including safety policies and procedures. • Work overtime as required. • Perform all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience 3+ years’ experience in either Department or Shift Supervision/Management in a manufacturing environment is required. Injection Molding or Extrusions experience, preferred. Prior ERP system/inventory control knowledge is required. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others with a high standard of teamwork. Communication: excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills to facilitate work through multiple shifts / departments / buildings. Ability and willingness to provide feedback and have crucial conversations with effective results. English/Spanish bilingual preferred. Planning: an ability to think ahead, plan accordingly and prepare/deliver action plans to achieve results. Problem solving: Possess strong analytical skills and mechanical aptitude to help troubleshoot problems and implement improvement plans which deliver solutions effectively. Possess computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) A valid driver’s license is required.
