Description

The Supervisor of Receiving and Inventory Management is responsible for overseeing all inbound operations, inventory control processes, and ensuring accurate and timely receipt of goods at the NLDC Fulfillment Center. This role ensures inventory integrity, optimizes receiving workflows, and leads a team to maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced distribution environment.

  • Supervise daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspection, and system entry of inbound shipments.
  • Ensure accurate inventory counts and reconciliation through cycle counts, audits, and root cause analysis of discrepancies.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement, transportation, and warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues and improve inbound flow.
  • Monitor KPIs related to receiving accuracy, inventory shrinkage, and dock-to-stock time; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead, train, and develop receiving and inventory associates to meet performance and quality standards.
  • Manage inventory locations and ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of goods.
  • Support system upgrades, process improvements, and automation initiatives related to inventory and receiving.
  • Prepare reports and communicate inventory status to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proficiency in navigating 360.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, Infoplus systems, receiving processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP or WMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Manhattan, Oracle) preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
