Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary with some walking, bending and stooping. Manual dexterity is required when working with peripheral equipment. Reasonableness and tact are required when dealing with irate or difficult patients. Travel is required between the clinic and the medical center divisions.
Work Environment: The work is performed in an office setting or climate-controlled clinic subject to the normal safety precautions.

Incumbent serves as Business Manager for Women’s Health Center and a consultant to the clinical programs (MOVE, HPDP, Home-Telehealth and Home Based Primary Care) within Primary & Ambulatory Care Service Line at VA Boston Health Care System. He/she reports directly to the Business Operations Manager for Primary & Ambulatory Care Service and functions as part of an interdisciplinary management team. Is responsible for oversight of administrative and programmatic operations which includes direct supervision and coordination of activities for administrative support staff.
Major duties include but not limited to:
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Telework: Authorized - Ad-Hoc work can be performed on an as needed basis anywhere other than a VA facility or using VA-leased space (example: home).
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.
