QUALIFICATIONS

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Attention to Detail -experience reviewing my own information technology-related work or data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with standards. My work or the data that I produce is typically reviewed by my supervisor or another colleague
Customer Service - experience having brief contact with customers to provide information about available information technology products and services and providing customers with standard products or routine services to address information technology needs
Oral Communication - experience informing my supervisor and other IT staff of the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of basic technical information to a non-technical audience
Problem Solving - identifying or selecting from a number of alternatives to address routine information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from standard sources that provide a limited number of solutions

QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:

To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Leading complex and high visibility IT/cybersecurity projects from inception to fully operational capable that support transformational initiatives both internal and external to the applicant’s organization. Tracking and communicating project status and identifying project value to the organization.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. Responsibilities
  • Serves as a matrix team leader and senior project manager responsible for implementing major programs through a matrix of support resources which routinely crosses organizational lines in Defense Enterprise Computing Centers and DoD Program Managers.
  • Serves as the principal planner to accomplish implementation of new business proposals and upgraded security capabilities to include the development of proposals for the implementation of new systems, data management, and security requirements.
  • Plans, manages, directs, and facilitates new network and systems security management initiatives, requirements analyses, coordinates systems engineering and design, systems acquisitions, and provisioning.
  • Analyzes the security of equipment and systems currently in use.
  • Oversight of matrix support team activities in providing technical work requirements, tracking progress and quality of performance, and production improvements.
