We are hiring board certified/eligible Supplemental Intensivist at Legacy Hospitals, primary location for this position is at our tertiary care hospital in downtown Portland. You will be the newest member of a highly functioning department practice of 35 physicians and 5 Advanced Practice Providers within Legacy Medical Group which is a multispecialty group of 350+ employed providers. Responsibilities Provide hospital-based critical care, as the attending physician-of-record or as a subspecialty consultant as requested by members of the medical staff. Perform the normal and customary functions of a physician practicing critical medicine. Primary admitting service for neurocritical care patients, with cross-coverage on neurointerventional patients. Medical management of patients with advanced cardiopulmonary disease, including patients requiring mechanical circulatory support and ECMO, with cross-coverage on cardiothoracic surgery patients. Supervise internal medicine house staff caring for patients on our medical and neurointensive care services. Work collaboratively with critical care advanced practice providers. Qualification and Licensure Requirements Graduate of a four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent. Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or anesthesia and fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. Board certified or board eligible in Critical Care Medicine and/or Neuro Critical Care Medicine. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon. Current ACLS certification from the AHA.
