This is a supplemental midwifery position at Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Midwifery on the Emanuel campus. Our thriving midwifery practice provides independent full scope care in a team-based model. Responsibilities Provides antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, family-planning and well-woman gynecological care independently to adolescent and adult patients based on scope of practice and established guidelines. Consults appropriately with consulting physicians. Provides collaborative care or referral to medical management as appropriate. This care is guided by practice guidelines and standards established jointly by the LMG Midwifery staff and Program Director under the direction of the Clinical VP of Women’s Services. Follows all organizational, regulatory and human resource policies and procedures. Practice includes full participation in outpatient and inpatient care. Practices full scope midwifery. Full scope women’s healthcare and midwifery experience required. Ability to work with people in a diplomatic and tactful manner, utilizing effective leadership and group process skills. Bilingual preferred but not required. Qualifications Education: As required by licensure. Licensure Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse/ Nurse Midwife/ Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NP-PP) required. National Certification as a Nurse Midwife required. Possess active BLS card from the American Heart Association Current licensure as required by staff and state requirements. Sorry, no J1 or H-1B visa opportunities.
