Overview Supplemental Staff - Registered Nurse works as required based upon the scheduling needs of the team to provide care and support to patients and families. The Hospice RN ensures that the patients care plan and wishes are being followed. The RN works in partnership with the IDT team and treats all healthcare needs of the patient including managing symptoms and providing treatment. This role is a temporary assignment, up to 12 weeks in length. CONTRACT POSITION! PREMIUM HOURLY RATE! Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm plus occasional on call Location: Washington, D.C. COVID-19 vaccine required to be completed upon start. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) PRN provides quality nursing care, patient and family education, and documentation on an as needed basis. Qualifications Experience RequirementsMust have one year of staff nurse experience in a comparable setting/unit. Hospice and/or palliative care experience is strongly desired. Education RequirementsMust have a degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. A BSN degree is desired. Required Certificates and/or LicensesMust have licensure from the governing body for practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia, based on the state/jurisdiction of practice. Licensure from compact state is acceptable. Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) is required to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. A CHPN certification is a plus. Driver's License Must have a driver's license in good standing and access to a vehicle during working hours.
