EDUCATION:

B.Sc. , M.Sc. In -Engineering - quality , process and production or MBA preferred or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years in supplier development role ,supplier quality, supply chain management, and/or

manufacturing/process engineering within a component manufacturing company, emphasizing a strong quality mindset.

  • Capacity planning and supply chain management.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, including change leadership and management with a process focus.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Project Management tools.
  • Experience communicating with diverse cultures and nationalities.
  • Lead auditor experience during Supplier onboarding process or CI projects

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Execute KALMAR Sourcing Supplier Development processes, tools and strategies, to Continuously improve Suppliers performance to mitigate risks in terms of Quality, Delivery, Capacity and Sustainability.
This position can be on-site, hybrid or remote. Travel required.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead supplier development activities from pre-production to the start of production.
  • Qualify suppliers through onsite assessments, adhering to the Supplier Approval and Risk Management processes.
  • Maintain, improve, and continuously develop supplier quality and delivery performance in line with the Category

Strategy.

  • Manage part and process assurance to meet project targets and timelines.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage the decision process for supplier escalation.
  • Conduct audits to improve underperforming suppliers, aligned with the supplier improvement strategy.
  • Support Category Strategy and suppliers in Continuous Improvement workshops, applying Lean methodology/ Six Sigma

and tools.

  • Lead proactive activities with suppliers to improve quality, capability, capacity, and drive cost reductions.
