Description
Builds partnerships and ensures quality and regulatory compliance by working with suppliers around the globe to understand requirements, influence, plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work to achieve component compliance and meet project milestones. Identifies and leads VIPs (Value Improvement Projects) and cost optimizations within our supply chain Partner with PMOs from different divisions to support supplier engineering action items Executes plans to support supply chain objectives; supplier performance, supplied material risk mitigation and execution of materials VIP. Proficient in the use of all business tools. Leads and/or participates in project teams coordinating the efforts of engineers and cross functional team members to qualify and improve supplier processes. Drives troubleshooting processes and problem-solving methodologies at supplier facilities to drive quality, reliability, and supply chain improvements. Supports other supplier engineers with acquisition and/or sustaining projects which may include qualification, supplier change assessments, and regulated material evaluations. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. Must graduate between December 2026 and May 2027 Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization Corporate engineering experience in manufacturing, supplier engineering, or quality Experience working with suppliers or in supply chain management Experience working in a Regulated Industry Good understanding of statistical methods, six sigma methodologies, and problem-solving methodologies Experience reading design drawings and GD&T Self-driven and self-motivated to learn and use that knowledge to produce results Project management experience
