Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, reliability or product engineering.
  • 8 years of experience in people management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Quality, Electrical, Mechanical) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with high-volume and high-reliability hardware in industries such as servers, automotive, or aerospace.
  • Experience in thermal management such as liquid cooling.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of supplier quality engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware design, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to develop and deploy supplier quality engineering best practices throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to deployment and end-of-life.
  • Influence product roadmaps and architectural decisions by providing data-driven insights on hardware quality, reliability, and performance trade-offs.
  • Represent the team and its capabilities in executive reviews, cross-functional leadership forums, and direct supplier leadership engagements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers ensuring Google is protected from a quality and reliability perspective.
