Description
Supplier Engineer in Electromechanical Assembly is responsible for developing and ensuring suppliers compliance with Lam's quality standards and driving continuous improvement in suppliers' manufacturing processes. The Supplier Engineer is tasked with identifying, diagnosing, and resolving supplier quality issues to achieve defined performance metrics such as First Pass Yield and Target Throughput. This includes conducting PFMEA, OMS verification and making decisions regarding defective materials. Developing supplier manufacturing & Assembly processes and quality systems. This involves supporting new supplier selection, qualification, and onboarding processes, as well as performing supplier audits and First Article qualifications. This role requires close coordination with Lam Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and suppliers to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsible for monitoring supplier performance, preparing reports on supplier qualification package. He/she must possess strong presentation skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Provide seamless interface with SET global commodity heads to account teams and other members of SET. Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5-6 years' experience in managing technical programs and projects, preferably in the Semiconductor Industry and familiarity with electromechanical assembly processes, quality standards, and relevant industry certifications. Manufacturing experience specific to CNC Machining, Sheet metal, cable or PCB will be added advantage. Hands-on experience with solving complicated problems and project management- need example (8D and others). Proficient in written and verbal communication (English).
