  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Access supplier sites for suitability and process capabilities to achieve required specifications.
  • Identify critical gaps, in facilities or process controls, and drive development of containment actions and closure with robust solutions.
  • Provide guidance on technical specifications, or manufacturing processes, and engage Product / Design Engineering when needed.
  • Liaison with Product / Design Engineering for qualification criteria, or functional requirements, during supplier development and/or DFM improvements.
  • Responsible to manage the supplier’s Quality representatives to implement containment actions, investigate root cause and drive permanent corrective actions for Quality escalations due to non-conforming material from the assigned supplier.
  • Partner with Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to develop appropriate metrics to track and drive improvements in supplier Quality performance.
  • Partner with Commodity Business Managers (CBM) in projects to enable successful part qualification and/or associated efforts.
  • Requirements
  • Part fabrication & machine knowledge, e.g. for milling, turning, cutting & surface finishing processes. At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of machine capability, e.g. part/envelope sizes, achievable dimensional tolerances for different manufacturing processes. At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience with machine capacity calculation will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in welding with professional welding certification will be an added advantage.
  • Travel for business is expected to be around 10% in a year.
