REQUIREMENTS

• Must be eligible to work and reside in Canada
• University degree (Engineering or related field preferred)
• Strong background in Quality and/or Engineering, preferably in aerospace
• Results-driven with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Knowledge of machining, NDT, special processes, and assembly of landing gear parts
• Familiarity with raw materials and forgings processes (asset)
• ISO-9001 Lead Assessor training and/or supplier auditing experience preferred
• Excellent judgment, decision-making, and attention to detail
• Ability to pass a criminal background check

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage supplier NCRs and concessions; collaborate with Incoming Inspection to resolve quality issues
• Follow up on Failure Analysis Reports (FAR) and Corrective Action Reports (CAR) to closure, determining liability
• Support supplier submittals of escape occurrences and customer quality notifications
• Conduct product, process, and specification audits at supplier facilities
• Manage CARs/SCARs/8D problem-solving activities from audit findings
• Review, approve, and administer Supplier DVI/PPAP/FAI documentation for production parts
• Manage supplier quality information and requests through the vendor portal (DK6000)
• Support suppliers with design change requests and track to closure
• Present audit opening/closing meetings with suppliers and discuss CARs
• Approve SAP DVI/PPAP purchase orders prior to supplier release
• Assist engineering investigations between Supplier/Engineering/Procurement/Purchasing
• Monitor FAL reports to identify quality trends and patterns
• Perform supplier quality performance reviews where applicable
• Provide input and feedback for daily QRQC boards
• Raise and close quality notifications (COSA’s) in SAP
• Review and update SAP part inspection criteria as required
• Manage supplier delegation requirements for dedicated suppliers
