Supplier Qualification/Evaluation: Evaluate and qualify Andis suppliers through on-site audits and performance assessments. Collaborate with Purchasing and Product Engineering to identify and qualify new suppliers and technologies. Evaluate supplier performance based on Quality Scorecard criteria and recommend improvements.
Supplier Development: Coordinate and drive Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) activities to eliminate and prevent defects. Work on process improvement projects with suppliers to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Production Support: Provide direction for Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) and disposition of non-conforming products. Lead quality investigations and drive supplier quality issues to closure with urgency. Analyze quality data and recommend adjustments to product design, manufacturing processes, and quality procedures.
New Product Development: Support Product Engineering and Production during New Product Development (NPD) to ensure smooth transitions from design to production. Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new suppliers, products, and process changes. Act as a liaison between various departments to ensure product conformance and customer satisfaction.
Additional Responsibilities: Support Quality Technicians in the development of their skills. Stay updated on emerging trends. Perform internal quality audits as needed.
