Description

Job Summary: The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring supplier performance, auditing incoming materials before they reach the assembly areas, and working directly with suppliers to raise their quality standards. They will act as a liaison between the company and the supplier to ensure the quality of materials and components supplies meet specified standards. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Understanding and knowledge on manufacturing processes
  • Bachelors’ degree and/or professional certification preferred but not required.
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in related position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently sit for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
  • Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
  • Occasionally lift 30 pounds

Responsibilities
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  • Work with various departments to development and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Maintain and update supplier quality documentation and records.
  • Ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality related matters.
  • Monitor and report on supplier quality performance and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for defective materials.
  • Coordinate supplier qualification and approval processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
