JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality of components received from suppliers by evaluating data, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position is fully onsite at our downtown location.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2–5 years of experience in one or more of the following: CNC programming, machining, investment casting, or quality engineering.
  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industry specifications such as SAE, ASTM, and MIL standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong technical knowledge in engineering practices, process planning, tooling, NDT, functional testing, metallurgy, and product design.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Excellent analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience managing supplier qualification and improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of supplier selection processes and quality management systems.

    Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Review supplier-provided data to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Monitor supplier defect rates and generate quality performance reports.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement; collaborate with suppliers to reduce defects.
  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to ISO, NADCAP, and internal quality standards.
  • Evaluate potential vendors, including assessments of their manufacturing processes and quality systems.
  • Support suppliers in implementing process improvements and quality assurance plans.
  • Interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T principles effectively.
