Rocket Factory Augsburg AG in Augsburg is looking for a
Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d)
As a Supplier Quality Engineer at RFA, you are responsible for ensuring supplier quality throughout the entire product lifecycle—from development to serial production. You will play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI) and work closely with internal departments and external partners to meet the highest aerospace quality standards. Focus will be on developing internal processes and NPI in close cooperation with Quality, Production and Development.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and implement supplier quality requirements in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g. AS9100)
  • Actively participate in development projects to ensure quality during product ramp-up
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI), process validation, and transition to serial production
  • Apply and facilitate APQP, PPAP, and FAI processes
  • Analyze quality issues and initiate sustainable corrective and preventive actions (8D, CAPA)
  • Support the selection and qualification of new suppliers
  • Monitor and report supplier KPIs (PPM, OTD, NCRs)
  • Train and develop suppliers on aerospace-specific quality requirements
  • Conduct supplier audits (system, process, product), including evaluation and approval

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, aerospace, industrial) or equivalent qualification
  • Proficient in quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, FAI
  • Several years of experience in quality management, ideally in the aerospace industry or other regulated sectors
  • Solid knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, EN9102, EASA Part 21) is a plus.
  • Confident in using MS Office and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Willingness to travel for supplier audits and on-site project support
