JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To support the Supplier assessment and selection process by ensuring the due implementation of applicable requirements (SAFe) by service providers
  • Ensure Suppliers apply Safran requirements, such as APQP by supporting suppliers during production engineering of products (PPAP, MSA/statistical control and act as the quality sponsor in the industrial validation process
  • Ensure that product and services comply with quality requirements by:
  • Ensuring the due application by service providers of applicable regulations (Part 21G, Part 21J, Part 145, human factors, safety management system, AS13xxx, etc.) and contractual quality requirements, whether technical (definition, specifications) or system level;
  • Ensuring that quality assurance plans (systems, products, transfers) are developed and implemented by suppliers;
  • Evaluating, planning and conducting monitoring actions (audits, quality samples, etc.) at supplier sites and ensure that Tier 2 suppliers effectively implement these actions.
  • Actively contribute to readiness reviews for joint supervision with the various Safran entities;
  • Ensure proper management of non-compliances by managing and processing system, process and product anomalies until proof of effective corrective actions using quality tools (9S, CAR, etc.).
  • Ensure supplier improvement by:
  • Implementing KPIs to measure supplier quality performance, in line with the Safran rating system;
  • Providing buyers with the information they need to pass on poor-quality costs to suppliers;
  • Ensuring that performance improvement plans are implemented by suppliers and monitor them;
  • Promoting the use of Safran tools and methods by suppliers;
  • Promoting our quality culture and identify/deliver the necessary training (including e-learning) for suppliers.
  • Act as quality correspondent for production transfers between suppliers and from Safran to a supplier and implement quality actions to ensure that customer and Safran requirements are properly integrated into the transfer by:
  • Analysing requirements, establishing and maintaining quality deliverables by cascading them to suppliers;
  • Ensuring the due application of GRP 0225.
  • Ensure that the customer’s voice is heard and understood by all suppliers and internal stakeholders
