Your Tasks
• Perform annual supplier audits. • Be responsible for supplier PPAP preparation and completion during launch phases. • Lead the evaluation, selection, and qualification of new suppliers. • Conduct supplier audits to assess capability, capacity, and compliance to quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001). • Work cross-functionally with purchasing, engineering, and program management during sourcing and APQP phases. • Establish and maintain supplier monthly scorecards. • Coach suppliers with their RCAs, 8Ds for supplier non-conformance product related issues. • Train suppliers with Lean Six Sigma, 5-Whys, 8Ds methodologies. • Manage incoming quality issues and work with suppliers to resolve them in a timely and sustainable manner. • Escalate chronic supplier quality issues to upper management. • Maintain supplier quality documentation, audit reports and PPAPs. • Support launch readiness and complete the supplier PPAPs. • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 40%). • Provide monthly reports to leadership.
Your Profile
Work Experience (provide details and minimum # of years required) • Over 10 years in Supplier Quality role, automotive preferred. • Functional audit experience with ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, IATF 16949 as a lead auditor is preferable. Skills (language, technical, computer etc.) • Strong understanding on quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA6.3). • Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and control plans. • Strong background implementing 8Ds at multiple sites • Six Sigma black belt or VDA 6.3 auditor. Education Bachelors University Degree or College Diploma specializing in Engineering or related field is required.
