For nearly 30 years, SQA Services has been a leading provider of managed supplier quality services, offering audits, assessments, remote surveillance, corrective actions, remediation, inspections, and engineering solutions to manufacturers across all industries. We deliver these services by deploying a network of highly skilled associates based throughout the United States and in over 90 countries worldwide, ensuring rapid on-site support at your supplier locations. Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with extensive experience and local expertise, enabling us to represent our clients on demand and with greater speed and efficiency than our competitors.
We are seeking a technically skilled Supplier Quality Specialist to support source inspection readiness and quality assurance initiatives for a leading aerospace program. This full-time, remote, 1-year contract (40 hours per week, with potential for extension) requires a unique blend of technical expertise and organizational precision to navigate quality systems, assess supplier performance, and contribute to inspection and compliance efforts across a complex and fast-paced supply chain.
This role will act as a liaison between SQA Services and the Client, supporting supplier inspections and collaborating directly with SQEs to ensure historical defects are resolved and that inspection readiness is maintained.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace quality (e.g., Supplier Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, or Senior Quality Inspector)
  • Experience reviewing nonconformances (NCs) and performing historical traceability to verify defect resolution
  • Strong ability to interpret technical data packages, inspection records, and supplier documentation
  • Familiarity with risk-based inspection principles and developing or working with Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal collaboration and supplier coordination

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a system-access-heavy quality or compliance role
  • Exposure to PLM or ERP systems used in aerospace quality management
  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards and supplier compliance processes
  • Experience using quality data tools such as Tableau, Jira, or part-tracking systems like Jules
Mileage reimbursement at the US government rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed. Travel reimbursement
Responsibilities
  • Access and interpret supplier part history, nonconformances (NCs), and quality documentation using internal systems.
  • Use quality systems such as Jules, Jira ITS, and Tableau to trace supplier performance, defect history, and track inspection-related data
  • Collaborate with suppliers to confirm prior defects are resolved by reviewing test data, objective evidence (OE), or requesting reinspection
  • Assist in the development and review of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) to ensure coverage of historical risks and inspection criteria
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to request documentation, resolve discrepancies, and align on quality expectations.
  • Analyze defect trends and support root cause investigations by identifying recurring quality issues in historical data.
  • Serve as a liaison between inspection personnel, SQEs, and Blue Origin stakeholders to ensure visibility and resolution of supplier issues
  • Track and summarize findings weekly and communicate results in team meetings or through designated channels.
  • Maintain accurate, organized documentation and complete background checks required for access to internal systems
  • Self-start and adapt to new supplier quality initiatives and collaborate across teams to address emerging issues
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment, supporting both internal teams and external supplier relationships
