Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist, reporting to the Supplier Quality Regional Manager, working virtually out of a home office location.
This is an entry level suppler quality position, and the successful candidate will join the existing in-county team supporting Boeing military suppliers in Canada.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Reporting to the in-country Team Lead, the successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in quality/product inspection.
  • Be able to understand and interpret 2 dimensional manufacturing drawings and 3 dimensional models, production paperwork and manufacturing specifications.
  • Experience in the manufacture of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies and knowledge of the installation of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRU). Experience on landing gear would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the review of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to the AS9102 standard, be able to articulate non-compliance/conformities to the document owners and progress through to a compliant resolution.
  • Quality management system audits skills/experience.
  • Ability to manage own statement of work and keep up to date with minimal supervision.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada
  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE):

  • Post-secondary education
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English

    This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Responsibilities
  • Initial and annual Supplier Approvals.
  • Final and in-process Product verification.
  • Supplier surveillance activities in accordance with AS9100.
  • Review of First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.
  • Root Cause Corrective Action review and acceptance.
  • Supplier data analytics
  • Creating and presenting metrics and performance data to internal stakeholders.
  • Liaison with Boeing Program Management, Quality and Engineering.
