Overview & Responsibilities Position Summary: The Supplier Quality Specialist executes the Ebara Elliott Energy supplier quality control program. The position works closely with procurement and quality departments to ensure that all suppliers have adequate business management systems for the purpose of providing products that meet Ebara Elliott Energy requirements. This is accomplished through the qualification and re-qualification of suppliers based on the results of system audits and the evaluation of their performance as it relates to the on-time delivery, number of defects, and cost. The position also focuses on the prevention of supplier defects through the conveyance of contractual requirements. This is done through the management of pre-manufacturing and in-process meetings conducted at the supplier along with the development of supporting documentation, drawings, quality inspection & test plans, etc. In addition, this position will support source inspection needs. Key Responsibilities: Using Ebara Elliott Energy supplier qualification procedures, identify and qualify new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and lead time. Monitor and uphold quality standards of existing approved supplier base. Identify and mitigate quality issues as identified by inspection, NCR, and warranty data inputs. Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to develop the quality and capability of approved suppliers. Resolve supplier questions as they relate to Ebara Elliott Energy drawings and/or processes. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for supplier non-conformances. Monitor and audit supplier quality performance; drive corrective actions and continuous improvement. Assemble and utilize inspection, NCR, and warranty data inputs to drive supplier quality priorities and corrective action plans. Conduct investigations of major supplier problems including customer complaints. Prepare technical reports regarding supplier quality procedures, processes, and problems. Develop a regional supplier scorecard system to track quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness, and issue resolution. Maintain records in the Ebara Elliott Energy approved supplier database. Aide in the development and release of component inspection plans. Set and maintain receiving inspection requirements / routing in the ERP system for all products received into the warehouse. Support on site source inspection needs as required. Conduct regular supplier review meetings. Support new product launches with supplier readiness assessments. Qualifications: Two year associates degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, related field technical field. 5+ years of technical work experience in supplier quality / qualification roles within manufacturing or fabrication industries. Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings, prints, and bills of material. Strong analytical, computer/software, and communication skills. Demonstrated manufacturing process knowledge. Strong knowledge of procurement and supplier quality systems. Experience working with Quality Management Systems, such as ISO 9001or industry-specific quality standards. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain analytics tools. A background in lean and/or six sigma principles is preferred. Key Competencies: Ability to conduct supplier audits, process reviews, and compliance checks. Understanding of various inspection & testing methods. Ability to exercise nonconformance management including corrective / preventative actions, root cause analysis, 5 Why’s, etc. Skilled in preparing and reviewing quality documentation and reports. Familiarity with machining, casting, assembly, and other relevant manufacturing processes. Problem solving skills. Risk assessment; Ability to evaluate supplier risks in cost, quality, and delivery. Attention to Detail. Ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and standards. Travel Requirements: Up to 50% regional and supplier site travel required.
