Description
The Supplier Quality Supervisor is a pivotal leadership role within Pacific Scientific's quality organization and reports to the Director of Quality. The role will entail actively supervising a team of salaried supplier quality engineers within the quality department. This role is essential in the administration and continuous improvement of the site's supplier quality performance and is essential to ensure the performance of PacSci's fast-paced manufacturing environment. It will also entail daily collaboration and engagement with various leadership staff from operations, quality, engineering, procurement and other functional leadership team members and functional staff. Key roles and responsibilities will include: Leadership - Support the development and implementation of robust career development plans for subordinate leadership staff, including skill set development, cross-training, prioritization of development goals and promotional advancement opportunities KPIs - Develop and advocate for critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various supplier quality functions including providing training on effective metric usage and ensuring their consistent application and refinement for all supplier quality functions Quality Assurance & Compliance - Ensure that all products and services meet our company's quality standards, customer requirements and industry regulations Supplier Relationship Management - Partner with PacSci's Global Sourcing team to build new - and enhance existing, relationships with supplier chain partners Supply Chain Growth - Support the successful development and execution of future supply chain partner onboarding through supplier capability assessments, onboarding activities and the subsequent performance management of new suppliers Continuous Improvement - Be the driving force for strategic continuous improvement planning and execution for PacSci's supply chain with the goal of obtaining objective and measurable quality improvements by our suppliers SCARS - Ensure effective execution of PacSci's SCAR management system and provide process and where necessary technical support to ensure effective RCCA/CAPA activities by supply chain partners VIRS - Ensure effective collaboration between PacSci and supply chain to validate content and get customer concurrence as required for Vendor Information Requests (VIRS) Support the development, implementation and execution of a supply base-wide surveillance and auditing program for the supply chain's processes, systems and facilities to ensure full compliance with AS9100D and contractual flow downs Act as a facilitator and provide leadership support during internal and external Quality Audits (AS9100D, Customer, Government) as necessary Embrace and execute additional responsibilities as they arise Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years' experience in quality-centric roles Prior experience in leadership roles is strongly preferred Proficient knowledge of First Article Inspection reports, compliant with AS9100D and other industry standards Proficient knowledge of Lean operations principles Proficient in corrective actions and problem-solving methodologies (CAPA) to drive continuous improvement in quality inspection process activities Preferred - strong knowledge and direct experience with AS9100D Quality Management System standards Education and Experience: BS Degree in related field or comparable work experience. Pay Range The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 81,200.00 - 150,800.00 Is this role subject to ITAR?
