Job Title: Supplier Security Assurance Practitioner Location: Various - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Up to £43,441 dependent on experience What you’ll be doing: Work with stakeholders across the Programme to improve security and threat risk awareness, encouraging and supporting early engagement with Security for procurement activates, ensuring internal Supplier Security Assurance (SSA) processes are well understood and effectively utilised Producing Security Aspects Letters (SALs) and OFFICIAL / MOD (OLs) Letters for the programme, following the defined Security and Cyber Risk Review Process, working with internal stakeholders to ensure that the data which will be released into the supply chain and that the Need-to-Know principle is upheld. Liaising with suppliers to ensure that SALs/OLs are understood, and requirements met Assist with production of yearly SSA audit schedule and visit suppliers as necessary (per risk level and agreed audit frequency required by policy) to audit security controls against the requirements in the SALs and review the security culture and posture of the business. Comprehensive reports produced, findings documented and communicated with the supplier then agreed actions followed up, with any reports for shared suppliers provided to Maritime & Land sector for their records Play an active role in a team dedicated to continuous collaboration, support, and challenge, to ensure security is as effective as it can be Work with colleagues in the wider M&L Sector and Security teams, provide security advice and guidance to the business and external stakeholders Support and influence the security culture by raising security awareness among employees and management in the local area and model behaviours that demonstrate good work ethic Your skills and experiences: Experience in audit or assurance activities beneficial Demonstrates knowledge about security, including some or all physical, personnel, cyber (&information) and product security Operates according to security legislation, standards, good practice Experience working in a risk management or assurance setting or theoretical knowledge Educated to degree level (or worked experience equivalent) in a related discipline Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Supplier Security Assurance Team: The BAE Systems Supplier Security Assurance Team are a small high functioning productive team, who assist the business in working safely and securely with our suppliers. Reporting to the Security Supplier Assurance Lead, this role will be responsible for supporting the effective delivery of the Security Supplier Assurance programme, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to assess risk in the supply chain, ensure information being released into the supply chain is done so in accordance with mandatory/customer requirements and performing assurance activities to verify the security standards upheld by suppliers.
