JOB OVERVIEW

The Supply Chain Administrator directly influences inventory management, overall productivity, and customer service. This role also provides essential general support across the supply chain. The Supply Chain Administrator role demands flexibility due to the fluctuating daily needs of the business. This individual must vigilantly monitor service standards and intervene as needed to uphold the company’s high service levels.

Responsibilities

Supplier Management: -

  • Raise product Purchase Orders in accordance with Product Management instructions.
  • Monitor and review all Purchase Orders to ensure they have been received and acknowledged by the supplier.
  • Ensure system is updated with latest supplier updates and confirmations.
  • Proactively seek improvements in delivery dates where required.
  • Liaise with Product Managers and Customer Services as required to ensure service levels.
  • Liaise with Product Management regarding any discrepancies and ensure resolution.
  • Complete product amendments, creation, classification as required.
  • Keep supplier information accurate and up to date within system.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to improve communications and service

Supply Chain Administration:-

  • Co-ordinate supply chain activity and develop company’s supply chain administration processes.
  • Handle scheduling of long lead-time products in collaboration with Product Management Team.

Logistics:-

  • Track and review all costs for all inbound freight ensuring use of optimum cost/service methods within company’s freight and duty targets.
  • Proactively seek cost reduction across all areas of supply chain function.
  • Monitor the status of incoming shipments and correspond with logistics partners as required.
  • Prepare spot freight quotations for export as and when required.

Warehouse & Operations:-

  • Liaise with warehouse Goods-In department to provide shipping documentation and to record/rectify any delivery discrepancies.

General:-

  • Ensure tasks are conducted in a timely manner and according to agreed deadlines.
  • Take a leading role in the achievement of the company’s service standards contributing with initiatives and ideas for improvement.
  • Address any problems immediately either directly or by escalating to senior management, as necessary.
  • Operate as a team player with respect for the roles and responsibilities of your colleagues
