Description

Manage inventory control reorder point levels within MRP system based on historical data and production planning activity.
Minimize material shortages to ensure production schedule is not negatively impacted.
Minimize financial impact of inventory.
Collaborate with other departments to maintain/improve cross functional communication and decision making.
Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory turns.
Ascertain root cause and implement preventative measures for material shortages.
Take a proactive approach to identify and resolve inventory control issues before they occur.
Monitor and report material department performance metrics.
Monitor and report supplier performance metrics.
Improve and maintain the integrity of material data within an MRP system.
Identify, report, and take action to minimize dormant or excess inventory holdings.
Ensure contractual obligations surrounding material sourcing are met.
Active engagement with supply chain operational analyses and projects as recommended or required.
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives related to supply chain
