Job Description Summary: Works with Director and Department Managers to support hospital operations. This could include, but not limited too, assess and modify inventory/supplies/equipment and other operations processes. Manages projects with internal and external customers to improve operational efficiencies. Responsibilities And Duties: 30% Manage inventory management or logistics projects in a matrix management environment including direct customer involvement on a regular basis. Interact with Materials Management and operational department leadership to create inventory reduction, cost containment or cost reduction opportunities. Work with key external suppliers to assess and implement supply chain improvement opportunities. 15% Utilize formal process improvement techniques including Six Sigma, Quality Management, and Lean Thinking principles to improve operations including inventory management, distribution and transportation functions. 20% Utilize formal inventory management techniques including Min/Max, EOQ, FOQ to analyze inventories for opportunities to design or modify inventory methodologies. Implement forecasting to assist in inventory management processes. 20% Analyze inventories for multiple hospital locations. Identify opportunities for improved inventory management including increased inventory turns, reduced obsolescence, and increased accuracy. 15% Act as key customer liaison for supply chain issues and projects. Work closely with Materials Management leaders on supply chain projects, reports and presentations to senior hospital leaders. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (Required) Additional Job Description: Works with Director and Department Managers to support hospital operations.
