POSITION SUMMARY: This role will serve as a critical resource supporting all aspects of the State supply chain, including: Purchasing, Procurement, Planning, Logistics, Order Fulfillment, and Supplier Relationship Management. Creating reporting and performing analysis on supply chain data will be a key function of this role. Cross-functional communication will be vital in this role’s success. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Tracking and following up on PO’s, CoA’s/CoC’s, Certificates of Liability, and SDS’s Maintaining vendor relationships to support daily activities for sourcing materials, which meet the quality and service standards of the organization Vendor performance reporting and measurement Purchasing for MRO items Sales Order analysis and problem solving to reduce backorders and improve order fulfillment Cost avoidance, inventory reduction, and freight savings projects Special projects, as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred 2 years experience in a supply chain role or equivalent education 2 years experience working within an MRP environment or equivalent education, SAP preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong computer skills, including SAP, MS office, Access Strong math and analytical skills Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment EOE Statement: State Industrial Products is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age, veteran status, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status or disability (in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act*), or any other legally protected status, with respect to employment opportunities.
