REQUIRED EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the minimum qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Education: Degree in Business, Computer Science or technical, mathematically related fields, with a strong emphasis on technical and analytical knowledge
  • Experience: Ideally two years’ experience in purchasing or supply chain management. ERP implementation experience would be very desirable.
  • Certifications: None required.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Negotiates and places project related deals with vendors. Negotiates discounts with vendors for purchases per guidelines established.
  • Provide assistance in analyzing and developing improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems of acquisition management programs.
  • Evaluates current vendors and helps select new vendors per purchasing guidelines.
  • Develops and maintains reports for inventory analysis, usage and quality reports for the measurement of failures.
  • Responsible for serving internal and external customers and exceeding their expectations.
  • Interfaces with the procurementwarehouse personnel to measure and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Lead cross-functional affiliate teams to drive purchasing initiatives and improve bottom line performance.
  • Provides input for continual improvement of current processes or procedures.
  • Analyze trends and make corresponding sourcing decisions that contribute directly to the company’s competitive position.
