Description
We are hiring a Supply Chain Analyst. As a Supply Chain Analyst, you would be conducting in depth analysis and making recommendations that drive improvements in the supply chain, resulting in reductions of the overall inventory exposure and the best total landed cost within the Retail Product business unit. This role will partner with product development, sales and operations teams to understand the diverse needs of each group (e.g. new products, new markets, new production methods) and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions within an international supply chain network. A successful candidate has the ability to analyze a situation and determine the most effective and efficient outcome to meet the needs of the business while communicating throughout to all the essential functional units. Responsibilities Develops and maintains a working knowledge of end to end supply chain components. Develops recommendations based upon business needs of each component. Applies strategies to enhance existing product supply chain networks and develops new product networks. Utilizes Lean/Six Sigma processes and techniques to identify and remove waste, variability and excess lead time in our existing processes. Responsible for performing the regular analysis, review and manipulation of parameters used to deploy inventory throughout the supply chain. Creates supply chain network models to analyze the network need to support future sales growth. Develops scenario modeling capabilities to understand the sensitivity to multiple variables. Designs, develops and performs analysis on key inventory KPIs to determine when KPIs are out of acceptable tolerances, to determine root causes and to identify unfavorable trends requiring attention. Responsible for tracking, analyzing and communicating performance and exceptions. Develops new tools and improves existing metrics to evaluate supply chain performance. Desired Experience Strong analytical capability and aptitude Demonstrated ability in process improvement, metric development and problem solving is required Ability to get results from cross functional teams without a formal ‘chain of command’ Strong understanding of supply chain functions and management concepts Fundamental understanding of business financial and accounting principles Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (e.g. data sorting, pivot tables and charts) Basic level skill in Microsoft Access (simple query creation, importing data) Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and comfortable building decks to tell a clear story Experience with international manufacturing supply chains required Must be responsible, reliable and self-motivated. Drive to improve all processes and performance is essential.
