Vantive is seeking a Supply Chain and Logistics Director to support our APAC region.
The role is responsible for setting the strategic direction of supply chain activities, and leading the team in the development, implementation, and execution of supply chain processes in support of timely order fulfillment and achievement of business objectives; and is also accountable for optimizing service levels and profitability.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Excellent leadership skills including sponsoring/leading projects with broad scope, cross functional nature, and an impact outside own organization while promoting teamwork between organizations.
  • Complete, in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business and supply chain strategies including total delivered cost, profitability, inventory turns and service levels.
  • Excellent communication skills (with staff, peers, and levels above) and ability to develop rapport with other functional leaders inside and outside area to influence decision making, change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and presentation skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s degree preferre

Experience

  • Require at least 10 years related experience in supply chain management – including but not limited to warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service and/or inventory planning.
  • Detailed working knowledge of effective Supply Chain performance, including Operations management.
  • Extensive experience supervising, coaching, and developing others.
  • Extensive experience managing budgetary performance and profitability (P&L) .
  • Significant experience in systematic prioritization, with data supported analysis of trade-offs between business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvements or change for business efficiency. ·
  • Proven ability in driving results through both self and team leadership

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Overseeing the movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers, which may include, but are not limited to, planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, warehousing and distribution, logistics and transportation which includes:
  • Demand planning and forecasting – Ensure sufficient and appropriate inventory levels through collaboration across various functions like sales, marketing, operations, and finance and accurately forecast future demand using historical sales data, market trends, customer behavior, and other relevant business factors.
  • Market planning –lead and drive communications between the sales, marketing, operations, customer support, quality, regulatory, and fulfillment teams to monitor and manage inventory, where required mitigate supply exceptions by country/cluster to close gaps between inventory and customer demand
  • Supply Chain Optimization – Oversee procurement, inventory management, supplier management, relevant contract negotiations, transportation, fulfilment and customer service, to facilitate an optimal supply chain that will effectively customer needs effectively and minimize potential disruptions.
  • Order Fulfillment – Work with both internal and external parties to ensure that processing customer orders are efficiently and accurately fulfilled.
  1. Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.
  2. Identify areas for improvement in supply chain processes, implementing changes, and tracking performance metrics, where needed resolve issues impeding achievement of business goals.
  3. Manage managers who are responsible for leading other supply chain associates.
  4. Sponsor and may lead cross functional teams in support of strategic initiatives both within the supply chain organization and across business units.
  5. Responsible to provide management, finance, and the business with inventory projections, service level issues, revenue constraints, and issues impacting profitability.
  6. Review and/or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing policies, standards, regulations, or laws, while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, trade compliance, and company policies.
  7. Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.

EHS RESPONSIBILITIES
