Description
Defines metrics and monitor supplier performance against established scorecards and expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement and sustainability. Regularly evaluate performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. Continuously working on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max, consignment) & manufacturing strategies, at times in partnership with Strategic Commodity Managers. Motivate and drive the improvement of the suppliers' manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery. Knowledge of supply chain management business processes and proper governance controls for factory management. Establishes goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meets forecasted demand. Represents supplier business management on a cross-functional commodity teams that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied. Works with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements. Develops presentations, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects. Works with suppliers to monitor product costs preventing negative PPV and supporting cost reduction efforts. Familiarity with semiconductors, electrical equipment, or high-technology supply chain management practices, standards, and organizations. Strong business acumen, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with various levels and roles throughout the organization. Technical understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies, manufacturing processes, commercial off-the-shelf items and OEM components. Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or applied sciences. Master's degree in supply chain, engineering, or MBA Proven experience of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with history of successful resolution At least 5 years of working in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience, working with global suppliers
