As a Supply Chain Business Manager 4 you will help drive delivery and supplier operational excellence within a global supply chain. This role is within the Supply Chain Operations team and Pilot NPI is instrumental in helping Supply Chain navigate through record ramps and other operational complexities thrown our way. In this position, you will help manage global factories and have responsibility for multiple suppliers within the Metal Machining and Wet Dep Plastics Commodity. Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases. Defines metrics and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Regularly evaluate quality and performance benchmarks, and the risks associated with the preferred supply base selection. Continuously working on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., JIT, Kanban, min/max) & manufacturing strategies Established goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meet forecasted demand. In this role as Supplier Business Manager, candidate will work with cross-functional commodity teams that focuses on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied. Management key performance metrics - supplier OTD, consignment, lead-time reduction, liability claim and inventory as E&O mitigation Candidate will partner with Product Management, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Supplier Quality Engineers to get task accomplished. Candidate should be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting internal and external customers. This individual should also possess the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a close-knit team setting. Works with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problem to ensure on time delivery of critical material to support customer and company requirements. Occasionally need to present business case for engineering review. Develops presentation, white papers, process flow charts to support continues process improvement projects. Works with buyer to monitor product cost and guide buyer to order with optimize pricing and supporting cost reduction efforts. Drive improvement of the suppliers' manufacturing processes to ensure process efficiency for lead-time improvement. Position supplier to be ‘preferred' supplier category and qualify to become Lam top supplier in the annual Supplier award list. Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or applied sciences. At least 10-15 years' experience in managing global suppliers and various commodities. Having Semiconductor Equipment Industry Experience is preferred. Experience in NPI, project transition and sourcing localization will be an added advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skill Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems with scalable and repeatable results Knowledge, experience and practical use of Microsoft Excel, SAP or other ERP systems Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills - Macros, Pivot Tables, Data Lookup/Indexing, Dashboards & Power BI Must be willing and able to travel up to 15% (including domestic and international), mostly domestic travel for internal meetings Public speaking/ Executive level presentation skills. Experience in managing $80-$100M of supplier spend.
