Job Summary: Purchase commodities for GSGR assembly production and resale by performing the following duties: • Run Purchase Suggestion, Missing Components, Past Due and Unacknowledged Reports on a daily basis • Process ERP demands for timely delivery and accurate quantities to meet customer needs • Monitor stocking levels to ensure proper inventory levels and purchasing at cost effective quantities. • Effectively communicate GSGR requirements to our supplier base and convey the results to our internal customers • Process all expedite requests via the production shortage reports, e-mail and phone requests. Communicate these requests to the appropriate Buyer, Supplier(s), and other internal departments as-necessary. GSGR is an extremely customer-focused company that requires a unique dedication to customer satisfaction • Verify the accuracy of supplier lead times on an ongoing basis. • Verify Purchase Order Acknowledgements from our Supplier for accuracy • Attend Production, ECO and new product meetings and update other departments on order status. • Assist Quality department with disposition of quarantined or defective product • Verifying GSGR Special Price Agreements with suppliers, negotiate potential reductions and request renewals upon expiration. • Sourcing based on specific commodities and supply base • Work with receiving to answer questions and rectify supplier inaccuracies Required Skills: • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills. • Attention to detail • Ability to multitask • Ability to work well with a team • Able to thrive in fast-paced environment • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite • Self Motivated with strong problem solving skills Preferred Skills and Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or combination of relevant work experience and certifications • Experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment • Ability to work with engineering teams and all operations related departments • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills • Prior experience with an MRP or ERP system, Epicor a plus Expectations: GSGR strives to provide our employees with a rewarding and challenging work environment.
