JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented purchaser to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for the buying and planning process for both our virgin resign materials as well as materials used in the production of processed resigns.
The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding analytical skills, exhibit a working knowledge of polymers or have an ability to learn, and will have strong communication skills. They will work closely with management to understand expectations for the factory and will optimize performance to meet goals.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of resin market, in particular Polypropylene
  • Understanding of the market indexes like CDI that are used to predict trends in the resin market
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills

Responsibilities
  • Buying materials to meet quality standards and production requirements
  • Planning, scheduling, and monitoring raw materials required to meet the production requirements
  • Provide support and recommendations for purchase of all raw materials, or other materials assigned within your scope of responsibility:
  • Analyze inventory and purchase orders, and identify largest needs over upcoming week and next 2 months
  • Review available information to make best decision between
  • Supplier selection and audits, as needed
  • Evaluating and analyzing supplier quotes and negotiating prices
  • Issuing and monitoring purchase orders, ensuring orders are delivered on time, and expediting delivery on orders when necessary
  • Maintaining stock, supporting physical inventory counts, and reconciling inventory variances
  • Creating forecasts based on forecasted sales, sales orders, and historical parts usage
  • Identifying and mitigating risks that are implicit to the resin market through evaluation of market trends and other data available to us
  • Actively seeks opportunities for improvement and contributes to the overall growth and development of the purchasing and materials department.
