Description The Supply Chain Coordinator is a hands-on role responsible for managing the integrity of plant-level inventory, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics, and supporting warehouse and production operations through effective material flow. This position is critical to ensuring accurate inventory reporting, smooth shipping/receiving, and optimized logistics operations that support production schedules and customer service goals. This individual will work closely with warehouse teams, production, quality, and corporate supply chain to enforce best practices in inventory handling, ERP usage, shipping documentation, and cycle counting procedures. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Service Delivery (80%) Inventory Control & Accuracy Perform regular cycle counts and bin verifications to ensure 98%+ inventory accuracy across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Investigate inventory discrepancies, coordinate root cause analysis with warehouse and production, and execute corrective actions. Maintain system accuracy by processing inventory adjustments, location transfers, and receiving entries in NetSuite. Ensure timely and accurate posting of receipts, scrap, cycle counts, and interplant transfers. Monitor and report slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory with recommendations for resolution. Engage in forecasting supply and demand to set inventory goals. Material Handling & Production Support Support the production team in organizing material staging for production work orders, ensuring compliance based on item setup. Maintain clean, clearly labeled, and optimized storage areas for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Ensure inventory is stored in proper bins and that all physical movements are reflected in the system in real time. Check stock levels and continuously evaluate proper reorder points in collaboration with buyers. Lead periodic warehouse audits to validate proper inventory locations and labeling. Enforce safety and material handling standards in coordination with EHS policies. Inbound Logistics Support scheduling and coordination of inbound material deliveries, including bulk, returns and parcel shipments. Check delivery documentation (packing list, BOL, COAs if applicable) for accuracy; escalate shipment discrepancies to purchasing or suppliers. Receive and inspect incoming goods and materials verifying contents and quality. Ensure timely and accurate receiving of all inbound materials in NetSuite. Communicate inbound schedule and exceptions to production and planning to prevent delays. Outbound Logistics & Shipping Support planning, preparing, and executing shipments of finished goods, resale items and interplant transfers. Support timely and accurate dispatch of all outbound materials in NetSuite Schedule. Generate and review BOLs, packing slips, and shipping labels ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Support the coordination of pickup scheduling with freight carriers. Facilitate small package shipments in coordination with project managers (UPS, FedEx). Support the tracking and confirm delivery of outbound shipments and resolve logistics issues promptly. ERP & Documentation Management Maintain transactional discipline in NetSuite for all inventory and inbound/outbound related entries. Ensure traceability for serialized, lot-tracked, or batch-controlled inventory. Maintain BOM/Routing Maintenance to reflect changes in product design or materials and align routing steps with BOM to ensure all necessary materials are available at each stage of production. Maintain proper documentation for inventory transactions, shipping, receiving, returns and transfers. Collaborate with corporate teams to ensure system alignment with physical processes. Reporting & Continuous Improvement Generate and analyze daily/weekly/monthly inventory KPIs such as accuracy, shrinkage, inventory turns, and aging. Participate in plant-level continuous improvement projects related to inventory, warehouse layout, and logistics flow. Provide insights to support root cause investigations during cycle counts and inventory variances. Continuous Process Improvement (10%) Work to maintain and improve against SLAs and assist with any applicable reporting and analytics to measure the efficacy and efficiency of processes Collaboration and Research (10%) Collaborate with functions across the board to ensure any required changes to policies, procedures, and processes are implemented Collaborate with data owners/stewards to align on process and data issues Respond to questions and follow up on pertinent escalations Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education: Required: 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse coordination, or plant logistics in a manufacturing environment. Strong ERP experience required; NetSuite preferred, including inventory, item receipts, bin management, and reporting modules. Hands-on knowledge of warehouse operations, cycle counting, and logistics processes. Familiarity with standard logistics documents (BOL, packing list, COA, ASN). Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filters). Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills for plant and cross-functional collaboration. Preferred: Experience using barcode scanning, WMS (NetSuite WMS, SmartCount, etc.). Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or inventory optimization strategies. Familiarity with DOT or freight compliance for outbound shipments Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (10–15%) to manufacturing plants, vendor sites, or industry events. Occasionally extended hours during physical inventory or urgent shipments. PPE required in certain plant areas (safety glasses, vests, steel-toe boots). Equipment Operated: Computer, phone. Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally (e.g., boxes, parts, materials). Must be able to lift, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds frequently during inventory counting, staging, or material handling tasks. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb ladders or stairs as needed throughout the workday. Use of proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks, forklifts) is expected to reduce risk of injury. Extended periods of standing or walking in a warehouse or production environment may be required. Sitting: Must be able to remain in a sitting position for 50% of the time.
