THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinatorto join 1SQN Training Flight Logistics team. This is an opportunity to provide direct support to real time flying operations for the F/A-18 Fleet of Super Hornets.
We are looking for a Coordinator that has excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Someone who is comfortable working both autonomously and participating collaboratively across teams, as well as is proactive and approachable and will relish becoming a valuable member of the team.
The role is based at RAAF Base Amberley and is an on-site requirement to support maintenance teams.

As a Supply Chain Coordinator you will:

  • Coordinate and oversee staff activities to meet customer objectives so not to impact aircraft maintenance schedules.
  • Provide supply chain guidance to aircraft maintenance teams in relation to equipment requests and investigations.
  • Identify, investigate and discuss corrective actions with customers for overdue products or services impacting aircraft maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee and assist staff with post production supply chain data to optimise stock replenishments.
  • Produce weekly status reports and take appropriate action to clear anomalies.
  • Be available for shift work.
  • Be available to participate on in-country deployment exercises for at least a 2-week period bi annually.
  • Be available to hold corporate credit card for local procurement requirements.
  • Oversee general operations of the Logistic area and staff execution requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum 5 years Defence Industry Experience (Essential)
  • Sound understanding of Defence Logistics policies and procedures (Essential).
  • Competent forklift operator (Essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in Defence information management systems such as CAMM2, NETMAARS, ADAASS, SAP and LNIDS.
  • Understanding of Shelf Life management, quarantine control and hazardous product management.
  • Demonstrated communication skills for effective engagement with stakeholders.
