Responsibilities:

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effective Communication Skills: You will clearly and persuasively communicate with clients, both verbally and in writing, to build strong relationships and drive sales.
  • Product Sourcing: Sourcing competitively priced, high-quality products while continually monitoring market trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels to ensure that stock meets demand without overstocking. This includes managing reorders and minimising waste or excess inventory.
  • Supply Chain Visibility: Track goods from origin to delivery using software, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Logistics Coordination: Overseeing the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Cost Management: Control supply chain costs while maintaining product quality and service levels.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could disrupt the supply chain.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure supply chain activities adhere to regulations, maintain accurate records, and document orders, shipments, and inventory.
  • Process Improvement:Continuously seek opportunities to optimise supply chain processes and introduce innovations.
  • Price Analysis Reporting: Regularly compare supplier prices, identify cost-saving opportunities, analyse price variations’ impact on profit, and present the findings to the Stock Manager/Director.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT:

  • Data Analysis: You will analyse data to identify areas for improvement such as reducing costs, improving efficiency, or enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier Relations: Be able to communicate with suppliers to manage accounts resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
  • Problem Solving: You will proactively address supply chain challenges such as delays, shortages, or quality issues, and finding solutions to keep operations running.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: You have the ability to effectively negotiate terms with suppliers.
  • Collaboration: You are able to collaborate with other departments to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives and goals.
  • Adaptability: Respond effectively to changes in the market and supply chain environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in data management, documentation, and reporting.
