Job Summary: Coordinate the ordering of raw material, purchased parts, tooling or outside supplier services per business demand.  This includes expediting and interfacing with manufacturing and quality departments.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Enter purchase orders in systems as needed or directed * Seek approvals for purchases based on dollar level and divisional protocols * Send purchase orders to suppliers * Seek approvals for purchases based on dollar level and divisional protocols * Monitor MRP requirements so that orders are placed in a timely manner to meet the organizational needs * Develop/utilize an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders * Provide reporting on material and order status as needed * Support departmental and organizational goals   Job Skills & Abilities: * Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; especially Word & Excel * Strong analytical and negotiation skills * Good verbal and written communication skills * Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally * Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision and apply critical thinking to problem solving * Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and sense of urgency * Ability to coordinate work flow and identify and respond to priorities * Ability to work collaboratively with a team, or perform independently * Attention to detail * Strong organizational skills * MRO stockroom knowledge and ability to cover when personnel are out of the office * Excellent interpersonal skills Education and Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or closely related field * Minimum of one year of purchasing experience, preferably in a manufacturing company Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. * Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations’ facilities.   Disclaimer:  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
