To help the growth and expansion of our business activities worldwide we are looking for an ambitious, dynamic, communicative and fearless stock controller to join our team in Crawley.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideally you should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical degree.
  • Highly reliable and ability to work under pressure with a customer first attitude.
  • Experience of materials management is required, but strong aptitude for numbers is essential, combined with a high level of IT literacy and MS Excel experience.
  • Capability of working independently, hands-on and have a high degree of determination.
  • Strong communication skills, plus the ability to present ideas clearly, authoritatively and with confidence.
  • Calm manner and ability to resolve issues and respond professionally to both internal and external customers.
  • Data literate, analytical and process driven.
  • Good written and verbal communication (English), administration and interpersonal skills, together with a high working level of computer literacy (Word, Excel etc) and attention to detail. Advanced working level of Excel is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Global Purchasing – Timely placement of stock orders from our global manufacturing sites. Create ERP information excellence. Mange order flow, developing push and pull techniques to optimise customer requirements. Independently manage the full supply from our international/Asian manufacturing sites.
  • Supply Chain optimisation – Achieve increased stock turns within the business. Further support the developing our logistic routing and time reduction to our customers. Responsibility for inventory status/ stock transfers/ cycle-counting and stock accuracy. A smarter supply chain must have the single goal of increasing our operating cash flow without impacting service levels.
  • Demand Forecasting – Establishing and maintaining min/max stock levels across our global warehouse locations. Building a consolidated sales forecast model to anticipate future requirements to avoid stock-outs.
  • Product Lifecycle Management – Control the timing of phase in / out of product ranges. Create new stocking profiles based on customer requirements to ensure sufficient stock is available at product launch. Carefully manage a timely phase out schedule with a focus on minimising Excess and obsolete inventory costs. Throughout the lifecycle stock levels should be monitored to identify any possible excess inventory risks and mitigate against them.
