SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Supply Chain Data Analyst will be a member of the Supply Chain & Operations team holding the key responsibility of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to our supply chain operations to help improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure that our operations run smoothly. This individual will help monitor and evaluate supply chain activities by designing and maintaining reports, identifying key patterns and bottlenecks in processes, and providing recommendations to optimize inventory, reduce lead times, and manage supplier operations more effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role with proven experience in data analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, etc.) and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).
  • Proficient in MS office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Vizio)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proven ability to independently manage tight deadlines, stay organized, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary sitting position 75% of the time.
  • Ability to observe details at close range.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics NAV) is highly valuable.
  • Experience with PMS systems (e.g. Workfront) is highly valuable.
  • Experience in the Food and Beverage industry is preferred.
  • Experience with AI and machine learning techniques for data analysis, including predictive modeling and automation of data-driven insights is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Gather, cleanse, and integrate data from various internal and external sources, including ERP systems and co-manufacturer reports.
  • Perform trend analysis to identify potential issues in supply chain operations, such as inventory shortages, excess stock and inefficiencies in ordering patterns.
  • Monitor raw material inventory levels and establish min, max, and safety stock requirements to minimize disruptions and ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Analyze historical trends and customer forecasts to project raw material demand, optimizing inventory levels and minimizing stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Optimize purchasing strategies by analyzing pack sizes, minimum order quantities, and pricing to identify cost-effective purchasing and reduce excess inventory.
  • Assist with investigations into supply chain disruptions, delays, or inefficiencies, and provide data-driven solutions to resolve root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to uncover cost savings opportunities through raw material optimization, improved inventory control, waste reduction initiatives and strategic supplier consolidation.
  • Proactively manage and resolve issues related to obsolete, expiring, or overstocked raw ingredients to minimize waste and financial impact.
  • Support secondary sourcing initiatives to identify alternative raw material sources to drive supply chain resilience, efficiency, and cost competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain supply chain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Analyze supplier performance and provide business insights to drive improved accountability and behavior.
  • Design reports to support the Supply Chain Operations team in enhancing workflow efficiency and overall performance.
  • Create ad-hoc reports and data visualizations for the supply chain operations team, cross-functional teams, and senior management to facilitate decision-making.
  • From the reports, analyze the data, generate insights, and provide recommendations to the broader teams.
  • Provide support for special projects or management inquiries that require in-depth data analysis.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
