SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR
The Supply Chain Director is responsible to lead the strategic execution and functional management of all supply chain related functions – including sourcing, procurement, supplier resource management, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, supply chain planning/forecasting, and capacity planning across a multi-site operation. The director will support medium/long term capacity planning and oversee sourcing of raw and finished goods to fulfill business unit levels that maximize profit and minimize shrink and waste. He/she will ensure inventory accuracy, increase turns, drive down freight and warehousing costs and improve other relevant supply chain metrics to drive results through a collaborative process. This individual will be responsible for leading the sales, operation and inventory planning process including management of key stakeholder inputs and outputs. The candidate will be responsible for managing, assisting, and training other members of the supply chain team in the above-mentioned processes, as well as both the strategic and tactical execution of the purchasing and supplier management processes.

· Experience with demand and capacity planning, SIOP process
· Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier development and supplier performance management
· Some knowledge of millwork and graphic production techniques

· Critical thinking/problem solving skills.
· Capability to engage and guide others in defining workflows for multiple functional areas and ensuring deliverables from an array of internal operators/departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in business and/or supply chain or equivalent experience required.
· 10 years’ supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong logistical / inventory control background.
· Strong knowledge of supply chain planning techniques and best practices
· The ability to research, problem-solve with follow-though is necessary.
· Demonstrated successful experience working both autonomously and with others in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong attention to detail.

· Serve as primary contact for supply chain planning, procurement, inventory, logistics and supplier performance.
· Implement programs to optimize inventory turnover while mitigating inventory exposure and reducing risk.
· Participate in the review of vendor contracts by outlining requirements and considerations.
· Research partner companies and seek to negotiate best-price contracts to reduce costs and increase profitability.
· Actively seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain by streamlining steps and locating the best prices for inventory.

· Provide a forecast to assist with managing inventories to assure the highest possible level of customer service while achieving company inventory targets.
· Support the management of excess and obsolete finished goods inventories.
· Working with business leaders who have identified a business need or requirement to identify, source, contract, and procure the needed good or service from qualified suppliers.
· Support key performance improvement initiatives.
· Balance workload requirements across the team to ensure successful execution.
· Drive career and skill development of team members to encourage continual talent development, performance management, retention, and job satisfaction.
· Foster open dialogue and collaboration among the team.
