BGS Supply Chain Engineering Manager is responsible for value added engineering engagement to provide supply chain solutions with stability, reliability and flexibility to deliver on customer commitments operating with a service champion mindset. This position is the bridge between Supply Chain and Engineering, leading internal/external alignment, risk management and supplier support. This team will proactively execute improvement initiatives generating a step change in performance for supplier engineering, quality, and delivery performance. Responsibilities also include driving supply chain stability by resolving emergent supplier/supply chain issues impacting supply chain execution requiring cross enterprise integration.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

3+ years of experience leading people in a technical environment as a team lead or manage

  • rExperience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiative
  • sExperience working across the engineering and supply chain value streams and product lifecycl
  • eAbility to synthesize direction for individual contributors within an ambiguous Statement of Wor
  • kBachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or any technical fiel
  • dCapable of traveling up to 50% of the tim
  • e1+ years of experience with Supply Chai
  • n5 or more years’ experience in a variety of hands-on engineering role

Responsibilities

Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives across Engineering and Supply Chain across Commercial and Military products

  • .Accountable for coordinating and collaborating with suppliers and engineering teams in all major business units to support BGS Supply Chai
  • nResponsible for ensuring engineering support of supplier spares contract execution and coordination with key stakeholders including program management, business development, customers, suppliers and cross-business engineering leaders to support BGS Supply Chain programs. Assists and engages when there are technical issues to identify mitigation and execution plans to ensure the technical integrity of our spare products
  • .Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
  • .Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
