JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a proactive and organised Supply Chain & Fleet Supervisor to take ownership of our warehouse operations, stock control processes, and van fleet management. This is a pivotal role within our operations team, ensuring that our engineers have the right equipment, at the right time, to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in supply chain, warehouse, or fleet management.
  • Knowledge of stock control systems and warehouse best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a small team.
  • Good negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers.
  • Competent IT skills, including inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence with experience of driving a range of vehicles.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain stock control systems to track usage, minimise wastage, and improve efficiency.
  • Undertake planned and sporadic stock takes throughout the year of multiple stock locations.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels of fire protection equipment, tools, and materials to support engineer jobs.
  • Oversee the warehouse team and day-to-day operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time.
  • Manage the company’s fleet of vans – scheduling servicing, MOTs, repairs, and ensuring all vehicles are compliant and road-ready.
  • Monitor and report on fleet running costs, warehouse productivity, and stock performance metrics.
  • Work closely with engineers and managers to anticipate stock requirements based on upcoming projects and maintenance schedules.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, reliable delivery, and quality products.
  • Ensure tools and access equipment remain compliant and records maintained & updated.
