Supply Chain / Quality Intern – Manufacturing Operations Location: Buffalo, NY (On-Site) Schedule: 20-40 hours per week Employment Type: Internship / Co-Op (Paid) About GTI Fabrication GTI Fabrication designs and builds complex modular systems requiring tight coordination between supply chain, quality, and production. This internship offers exposure to how materials, suppliers, and quality systems directly impact manufacturing performance. Role Overview The Supply Chain Intern will support purchasing, materials management, supplier quality, and shop-floor quality control activities. This role is ideal for students interested in operations, supply chain, quality engineering, or industrial management. Key Responsibilities * Assist with tracking material availability, shortages, and supplier delivery performance * Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities * Help maintain inspection records, quality logs, and documentation * Participate in supplier quality reviews and corrective action tracking * Assist with inventory analysis, cycle counts, and material flow reviews * Support data collection for KPIs related to quality, scrap, and rework * Collaborate with supply chain, quality, and production teams on daily execution issues Qualifications * Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations Management, or related field * Able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week * Strong organizational and analytical skills * Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments * Proficiency with Excel; exposure to ERP systems is a plus * Strong communication skills and attention to detail What You’ll Gain * Practical exposure to manufacturing supply chain and quality systems * Understanding of how material flow and quality impact production schedules * Experience working cross-functionally with operations teams * Hands-on learning in a real manufacturing environment
