Position Summary: Receive and issue inventory. Facilitate transfers and shipments across sites. Find ways to better store and organize inventory. Observe and propose new ways to improve warehouse flow. Looks for better ways to facilitate the use of scan guns in everyday work. Responsibilities: Will play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunity. Execute other tasks as assigned. Receive in material for the warehouse Organize and Cycle count inventory Issue material to ongoing projects. Look for new ways to improve Requirements Self-motivated Attention to detail Desire to keep organized and work flowing Willing to research/test several new scan gun technologies Problem solving without constant oversight Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus. Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
Responsibilities
The intern will be responsible for receiving, issuing, and organizing inventory, as well as facilitating transfers and shipments across company sites. A key focus will be identifying and driving Continuous Improvement opportunities within warehouse operations.
