Based in Houston, we are seeking a Supply Chain Lead – Logistics to oversee and coordinate efficient, compliant, and cost-effective logistics operations across our business. Accountabilities Ensure the compliant and efficient global movement of equipment and goods in alignment with business and project requirements. Own and maintain the organization’s trade and customs compliance framework relating to logistics activities. Act as the primary accountability point for import/export compliance (EAR, ITAR, OFAC, and related regulations). Accountable for the accuracy of product classifications, licensing determinations, and trade documentation. Accountable for managing and mitigating logistics, customs, and trade compliance risks across all operations. Accountable for protecting the organization from fines, penalties, delays, and reputational damage arising from non-compliance. Ensure logistics and trade compliance strategies support overall business priorities and project delivery. Accountable for continuous improvement of logistics and compliance processes, systems, and controls. Responsibilities Oversee end-to-end logistics activities including shipping, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and final delivery. Develop, implement, and maintain procedures for import/export compliance across relevant jurisdictions. Classify products, components, and equipment using appropriate HTS codes, ECCNs, and other regulatory classifications. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate import/export documentation, licenses, declarations, and audit records. Monitor changes in international trade regulations and communicate implications to relevant stakeholders. Act as the main liaison with customs authorities, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers. Investigate and resolve customs delays, disputes, or compliance issues in a timely manner. Negotiate and manage relationships with logistics service providers to ensure cost-effective and reliable performance. 6–10+ years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or end-to-end supply chain Proven experience in a lead / senior specialist / team lead capacity Experience managing complex logistics operations across multiple locations or countries Background in asset-intensive or regulated industries (e.g., oil & gas, energy, engineering services, manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment) Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field EnerMech is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive organization.
