Description

Kölsche Blister GmbH, based in Cologne, is a contract manufacturing center and production facility in accordance with Section 13 of the German Medicines Act (AMG). We produce patient-specific drug blisters of the highest quality and regularly supply pharmacies throughout Germany. Many customers know us as an experienced and reliable partner in PrEP blister packaging.

Our company includes a pharmaceutical wholesaler that is closely integrated with our manufacturing plant. We are expanding our team in this area and are looking for a Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist (m/f/d) to join us as soon as possible.

Your role

This position combines two areas that are inextricably linked within our company: operational logistics and goods handling on the one hand, and procurement and commercial-administrative supply chain processes on the other. You will oversee goods and materials from order placement through receipt, incoming goods inspection, and internal distribution to invoice verification and returns. This is explicitly not a purely desk-based role: you will spend approximately half of your working time actively involved in the goods and logistics area, actively participating in hands-on tasks.

Your tasks

  • Acceptance of incoming deliveries, execution and documentation of goods receipt inspections, and reconciliation of goods, delivery note and order.
  • Unpacking, repacking and repacking, proper temporary storage and internal distribution of goods and materials — using hand pallet trucks or electric pallet trucks
  • Preparation and processing of outgoing goods as well as handling and coordination of returns
  • Ordering of goods, raw materials, supplies and operating materials as well as packaging and consumables for wholesale and manufacturing companies
  • Monitoring of delivery dates, coordination with suppliers in case of delays and deviations, and support with sample production of packaging materials.
  • Verification of incoming invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes, digital recording and plausibility checks of outgoing invoices
  • Support with preliminary accounting, maintenance of the associated documentation, and communication with customers and suppliers regarding inquiries.

Your profile

  • Completed commercial or logistics training or a comparable qualification based on relevant professional experience
  • Professional experience in logistics, inventory management, wholesale, supply chain or purchasing — especially in goods receipt, goods receiving, storage and/or goods dispatch
  • They don't want to choose between the warehouse and the desk: they like to get their hands dirty and are also interested in the commercial processes behind the flow of goods.
  • Understanding of structured, documentation-required processes as well as a careful, reliable and quality-conscious work ethic.
  • Basic commercial understanding of orders, delivery notes and invoices
  • Proficient computer skills and willingness to learn inventory management, ordering and documentation systems.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical wholesale or with GDP (Good Distribution Practice) is an advantage, but not a requirement — we will train you; a forklift license is not required.
  • Good organizational and communication skills in dealing with customers, suppliers and internal contacts, as well as an independent, solution-oriented working style.
