Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Materials Management & Transportation Manager (Warehouse) (Level K) in SeaTac, WA. This position manages and integrates employees activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals within BGS-C supply chain. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE):

  • 3 years or more experience in a leadership role leading either projects, initiatives, or teams to meet business objectives and influence change
  • Experience prioritizing a high volume workload and working with multiple peers, partners, and suppliers
  • 5 years experience with Supply Chain processes
  • 5 years of extensive knowledge of global import/export regulatory compliance

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in SAP
  • Experience working with a third party logistics (3PL) service provider
  • Experience with supply chain/execution systems (process or tools) to ensure meeting customer requirements
  • Proven track record of problem solving, analytical skills
Responsibilities
  • Engages stakeholders to ensure that program, customer, warehouse strategies are met.
  • Manages team performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and in-service performance.
  • Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including customs, import/export laws, and safety standards for both domestic and international.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Address any logistics-related issues, such as delays, damages, or shortages, and work toward resolving them promptly.
  • Ensure that best practices and industry standards are followed in all logistics activities globally.
