Responsibilities
  • Develop, coordinate, and optimize daily shipment plans to ensure on-time and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Schedule and assign loads based on customer demand, equipment availability, and driver hours of service (HOS).
  • Monitor transportation performance to identify inefficiencies, delays, or issues, and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Communicate load plans and changes effectively with internal teams, carriers, and drivers.
  • Use transportation management systems (TMS) and other software tools to manage and track shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with customer service, warehouse, and operations teams to meet service-level agreements.
  • Analyze load data and trends to improve routing, reduce transportation costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate pickups and deliveries to optimize resources.
  • Respond to unexpected issues such as last-minute order changes, equipment breakdowns, or weather disruptions.

The essential functions of this role include:
